What does ISLAM means...

"O you who have believed, enter into Islam completely [and perfectly] and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy." (2:208)

'ISLAM' means believing one God that is ALLAH subhanahu wa ta'ala and submitting oneself in worshipping Him alone, obeying His commands by performing the righteous deeds and abondoning shirk.

Five Pillars of ISLAM

1. Tawheed- The testimony of faith by saying with conviction, "La ilaha illa Allah, Muhammadur rasoolu Allah".This saying means "There is no true god (deity) but God (Allah), and Muhammad is the Messenger (Prophet) of God."
2. Salat- Performing rituals prayer in the proper (sunnat) way five times each day.
3. Zakat- Paying an alms (or charity) tax to benefit the poor and needy.
4. Sawm- Fasting during the month of Ramadan.
5. Hajj- Pilgrimage to Mecca.
